Here at Raworth Tennis Centre we try to provide an opportunity for our players to enjoy the game of tennis at a competitive level if they wish to.  As well as being able to offer advice on local/national tournaments for our players we offer some in-house tournaments as well. 

Raworth Tennis Centre currently runs a very successful Wednesday Night Competition with players graded as either a number 1 or a number 2. 

At the beginning of the Competition, each number 1 is allocated a number 2 partner who they play with for the duration of the Event.  The level of play is extremely high each week, with all players enjoying a set of singles and 2 sets of doubles in various formations.  The Competition currently runs with 8 pairs.  Anyone interested in becoming part of this great competition can contact Linda at the Centre on 02 49333750.

The Centre also runs a Ladies Doubles Competition through the holidays.  The most recent Competition had 12 pairs playing here on a Tuesday evening across 4 courts, each court with 3 pairs rotating in matches against each other.  From the weekly fee of $10 per player, $2 is put aside for a prize fund, with the top 4 teams all enjoying a share of the prize pool.  Anyone interested in getting involved in this competition can contact Linda on 02 49333750.

Here at Raworth we actively encourage our junior players to get involved in match play, and to this end we offer a Junior Friday Night Twilight competition most terms for all ages.  Play is modified so that court sizes, equipment and balls are age and ability appropriate and the emphasis is on playing the game of tennis whilst  having fun.  To sign up for our next Competition please see  Linda or call her on 02 49333750.

We also actively encourage our junior players to take part in the Maitland District Tennis Association Competitions run on Saturdays through term time.  We generally have 2-3 teams from the Centre representing the Club, and are looking to expand this number with our junior players who are keen to get valuable experience playing with other teams.
